Underneath the Earth lies Loki-Lie Smith, tied to a foreboding stone slab with the entrails of his son. Above him is a giant snake from whose fangs drips the most vile of all poisons. Next to the stone slab stands his wife, holding a bowl that collects the poison, protecting Loki from it. When the bowl is filled to the brim, she goes to empty it, and Loki is unshielded. He twists and turns in anguish yet does not die. On her return, Loki curses her with words long forgotten; forgotten for they are most evil of all words. Yet she stands patiently and holds the bowl over him. Every now and then she says how happy she is to see him, the meaning indecipherable.
She can walk away, but she stays. She continues to do this and will do so until the End of all Time.

I choose today to walk away from this, to leave my lie-smith unshielded.
