Another lesson learned...

28 minutes of conversation.

20 cigarettes of contemplation.

1 painful realization.

* * *

Underneath the Earth lies Loki-Lie Smith, tied to a foreboding stone slab with the entrails of his son. Above him is a giant snake from whose fangs drips the most vile of all poisons. Next to the stone slab stands his wife, holding a bowl that collects the poison, protecting Loki from it. When the bowl is filled to the brim, she goes to empty it, and Loki is unshielded. He twists and turns in anguish yet does not die. On her return, Loki curses her with words long forgotten; forgotten for they are most evil of all words. Yet she stands patiently and holds the bowl over him. Every now and then she says how happy she is to see him, the meaning indecipherable.

She can walk away, but she stays. She continues to do this and will do so until the End of all Time.

I choose today to walk away from this, to leave my lie-smith unshielded.

I wish I knew someone who didn't know me

This sucks!

This is: everyone knows everyone.

I mean, every time I meet someone new, it turns out that they know someone I know. More often that not, this mutual friend turns out to be a good friend of mine.

Wherever did the anonymity or uniqueness of meeting someone new go? There are 5 billion people on the planet, so why do the people I meet know each other?

We must cease contact with those who we have. Let us start again.

Reset.

If only we could.

"Slow Motion" seeing me let go

This song has been in my head for the past three weeks, I simply can't get over it. It's one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. This makes two of my all-time favorites by the same band (and same theme too).

Presenting:

"Slow Motion"
by Third Eye Blind

Mrs Jones taught me English,
But I think I just shot her son.
'Cuz he owed me money,
With a bullet in the chest you cannot run.

Now he's bleeding in the vacant lot,
The one in the summer where we used to smoke pot.
I guess I didnt mean it,
But man you should've seen it,
His flesh explode.

Slow motion see me let go.
We tend to die young.
Slow motion see me let go.
What a brother knows.
Slow motion see me let go

Now the cops will get me,
But girl if you would let me,
I'll take your pants off,
I got a little bit of blow we could both get off.

Later, bathing in the afterglow,
Two lines of coke I cut with Drano,
And her nose starts to bleed,
A most beautiful ruby red.

Slow motion see me let go.
We'll remember these days.
Slow motion see me let go.
Urban life decays.
Slow motion see me let go.

My sisters eating paint chips again,
Maybe thats why she's insane.
I shut the door to her moaning ,
Snd i shoot smack in my veins, wouldnt you?

See my neighboor's beating his wife,
Because he hates his life.
Theres a knock to his fist as he swings,
Oh man what a beautiful thing!

As death slides close to me,
wont grow old to be,
a junkie wino creep.

Hollywood glamourized my wrath,
I'm a young urban psychopath.
I incite murder for your entertainment,
'Cuz i needed the money.
whats your excuse?

The jokes on you.
